- Short-term rental units are offered to transient guests for less than 30 days
- Short-term rentals are allowed in any Neighborhood zoning district with a conditional use permit
- Short-term rentals may require a Lodging License from Hennepin County
- Short-term rentals must comply with all applicable licensing and permit requirements of the city and Hennepin County
- Maximum occupancy for short-term rentals is 6 adults and their dependent children
- Short-term rentals are not allowed on lots with accessory dwelling units
- Prohibited alterations include external structural changes or site improvements that change the residential character of the lot (e.g. parking lot construction, commercial-like exterior lighting, signage)
- A register of short-term rental guests must be maintained and provided to the city upon request
- Short-term rentals cannot be used for special events attended by individuals
