Rental scenarios that require registration include renting more than 3 times per calendar year for periods less than 30 days or 1 calendar month.
Rentals for 30 days or more, or rentals for 3 months to the same renter(s), do not require registration.
The application process includes obtaining a DBPR license and submitting the Short-Term Vacation Rental Registration Application.
Incomplete applications will not be accepted.
Owners must create a registered portal account and inform guests of applicable ordinances.
Rental units must comply with occupancy limits, property maintenance codes, and advertising requirements.
Failure to register can result in fines or citations up to $500 per violation per day.
Owners must notify the County of any changes in ownership or the Designated Responsible Party within 10 business days.
A designated responsible party must be available 24/7 to address any issues related to the rental unit.
